The official spec asks for 16GB of system RAM, and that is the floor rather than a target. We fit 32GB as standard on our sim builds so a full grid, replays and any background apps have room to breathe, and so there is headroom for the free-roam open world Kunos still have to deliver. VRAM matters just as much here: cards with less than 12GB struggle at higher resolutions, so we recommend a GPU with 16GB of VRAM for 1440p triple-screen and 4K.

Kunos reworked VR substantially in update 0.8, so it is worth revisiting if you tried it early on.
