CREATE PCs Warranty
UK 5-Year Warranty
Every system we hand-build comes with our 5-year warranty as standard. It covers our work for the full term, and the parts are backed by their respective manufacturer terms — most of which run 2 to 10 years.
5 YearsLabour
Five full years of our time, free of charge. Diagnostics, re-assembly, testing, configuration help — whatever your system needs from us, we cover it for the full warranty period.
2+ YearsParts
Component cover follows each manufacturer's warranty — typically 2–3 years for CPUs and motherboards, and often 5–10 years for RAM, PSUs and SSDs. We handle the RMA so you don't have to.
What's covered
- Diagnostics and triage of any system fault — free for the full 5 years.
- Component failure where the part is still within its manufacturer warranty (we handle the RMA process).
- Reassembly, recabling and stress retesting after any service or part replacement.
- Software and driver troubleshooting for the original installed configuration.
- Build-quality issues — anything traceable to our assembly or testing process is on us, period.
What's not covered
- Accidental damage, drops, liquid spills, or modifications made by the customer or a third party.
- Damage caused by power surges where a surge protector or UPS wasn't in use — we strongly recommend protecting your system.
- Wear and tear on consumables (thermal paste degradation, fan bearings near end-of-life, etc.) outside manufacturer warranty.
- Overclocking beyond the limits we set in our pre-tuned profiles, and any damage that results.
- Software issues caused by user-installed programs, malware or operating-system reinstalls.
- Components added or swapped by anyone other than CREATE PCs.
How to make a warranty claim
- 1
Get in touch
Email [email protected] or use the contact form with your order number and a description of the issue. Most issues are diagnosed by email within 24 hours.
- 2
Remote diagnosis
Where possible we will walk you through diagnostic steps remotely. Many issues (driver conflicts, BIOS settings, faulty cables) are fixed in this stage without the system leaving you.
- 3
Return to workshop (if needed)
If the system needs hands-on work, you arrange the courier (we’ll recommend one for the value of your system) and ship the PC back to us. You’ll be told what to expect at every stage — including build photos of any reassembly.
- 4
Repair or replace
We replace the faulty component under manufacturer warranty (or out of our own stock if it speeds things up), reassemble, stress-test, and return the system — typically within 5–10 working days end to end.
Warranty Cover at a Glance
Every system ships with the same warranty as part of the build price — no tier upsells, no fine-print downgrades.
| Cover | Term |
|---|---|
| Labour Cover (including in-warranty upgrades) | 5 Years |
| Components & Hardware | Custom desktops, motherboard bundles & workstations: 2 years. Monitors, peripherals, laptops, AIOs and other off-the-shelf products: 12 months. Some parts (RAM, PSUs, SSDs) run longer under manufacturer cover — we handle the RMA either way. |
| Hardware Tech Support | Lifetime |
| Return Shipping (if collection is needed) | Customer-arranged — we'll recommend the right courier for the value of the system and help with packaging where needed. |
Pre-owned / part pre-owned PCs: a minimum of 1 year parts and 3 years labour, with lifetime support. Some parts may be supplied new to complete the build — those carry full manufacturer warranty. Specifics are noted on each listing and the order confirmation.
Upgrades — free labour for 5 years
Our upgrade service is one of the most useful parts of the warranty: free labour on all major hardware upgrades within the first 5 years of your order. Adding more RAM, a faster GPU, a bigger SSD — all done by us, with the system stress-tested again before it comes back to you.
How it works: tell us what you'd like to upgrade or add. We confirm compatibility, raise the order for the part, then contact you to schedule the upgrade. Round-trip shipping is arranged and covered by you (we'll recommend the best courier for the value of the system) and we handle everything else. After installation we run our standard 24-hour stress test before returning the system. Total turnaround is usually two working days from arrival.
Can I upgrade it myself?
Absolutely. Doing your own upgrades won't affect your warranty. We just ask that you check compatibility with us first (a quick message), use anti-static precautions when installing, and keep your original packaging in case the system needs to come back to us for unrelated reasons.
Note: damage caused by self-installation (bent CPU pins, broken DIMM clips, etc.) isn't covered under warranty, but we're happy to assess and quote for repair.
Transferability
The warranty is tied to the original order and the original purchaser. If you sell or gift your system, the labour cover stays with us until the end of the 5-year term — the new owner just needs the original order number to make a claim. Manufacturer parts warranties may have their own transferability terms, which we'll help navigate.
Questions about your warranty?
