PC Finance
Finance Your New PC
Our position on third-party PC finance — why we've paused it, and what payment options we can offer in the meantime.
Where we stand right now
We've had to make the difficult decision to pull the finance option from our website. The rates available in the current climate aren't representative of our company values — no matter your credit score — so we don't want to expose our customers to high interest rates when there are likely much better finance options available to you.
Most of our competitors are only offering PayPal Pay in 3 and similar short-term borrowing. These can be interest free, but don't really help you spread the payment over a long enough term to bring monthly payments to a manageable level for a higher-spec build.
Why we paused finance
The rates didn't reflect our values
Even good credit scores were being offered APRs that meant a £3,000 build could cost £4,500+ over the term. That isn't a deal we're willing to put our name behind.
Traditional consumer finance is a hard category right now
Providers are tightening criteria, application failure rates are high, and the customer experience often involves repeated soft credit pulls before any offer arrives.
We'd rather under-promise than mis-sell
We're a hand-built, premium PC company. Tying that brand to a finance product whose terms we can't stand behind didn't feel right.
Spreading the cost — what you can do
Until we partner with a finance provider whose rates we're happy to stand behind, here are the options we'd steer you toward:
Pay by Bank discount
When you check out, choosing Pay by Bank gives you a small discount on the build price (the saving we pass on from skipping card processing fees) — see your order page for the exact amount.
PayPal Pay in 3
Available at PayPal checkout for orders within their eligibility range. Interest-free if you keep up with payments, but the term is short — works better for accessories than a full build.
Your own bank / credit union
For larger builds, a personal loan from your bank or credit union often beats consumer-electronics finance — especially if you already bank with them. Worth a 10-minute conversation before committing.
Phased build
We're happy to spec a build now and revisit the order in a month or two. Component prices move both ways — sometimes waiting saves real money, especially around launch cycles. Drop us a line and we'll talk you through it.
When will finance come back?
When the right partner comes along — one offering rates we'd be happy to take ourselves. We review the market regularly. If you're a finance provider with competitive terms (mid single-digit APRs, soft-checks, fast approval) and you'd like to talk to us, we'd genuinely like to hear from you.
