The biggest gains in Live come from a CPU with strong single-thread speed and large cache (the reason we favour Ryzen X3D parts), because that is what lets you run lower buffer sizes without audio dropouts. Spending on a high-end GPU brings no benefit to audio, so we put that budget into RAM, fast NVMe and quiet cooling instead.

How much RAM do I need for Ableton Live?

For stock instruments and light plugin use, 32GB is comfortable. If you load large sample libraries such as Kontakt or Omnisphere, or run big orchestral templates, step up to 64GB or 128GB. RAM is one of the best places to invest for sample-based work, so we make it easy to specify more.

Is CPU or GPU more important for Ableton Live?

The CPU is far more important. Live depends heavily on single-thread CPU performance for low-latency monitoring and plugin processing, while the GPU does very little beyond rendering the interface and driving your screens. We prioritise a fast CPU and only fit a modest graphics card.

Do I need a professional or workstation GPU?

No. A workstation card such as an RTX A-series brings no benefit in a DAW, because Ableton does not use the GPU for audio. A mainstream RTX 50 series card is more than enough to drive multiple displays, and the integrated graphics on a modern CPU would technically cope too.

Does Ableton Live use multiple GPUs?

No, Live does not use more than one GPU and gains nothing from a second card for audio work. The only reason to consider more graphics output is if you want to run several monitors, and a single modern card handles that comfortably. We would rather put that money into RAM or faster storage.

Do you preinstall Ableton Live on the PC?

We do not install Ableton Live itself, as it is tied to your own licence and account. We do deliver a clean, fully updated Windows install with chipset and audio drivers in place and the system tuned for low-latency performance, so you can sign in and install Live straight away.
